Back Pain and Endometriosis

I experienced terrible lower back pain for the longest time before my surgery, I even had a few times where I couldn't walk as it felt like my back was going to break! 😫

I thought I might have had a serious problem but after researching it, I discovered that the back pain is linked to endo! While it's not entirely understood why endometriosis can cause lower back pain, most believe it is the result of nerve damage, inflammation, lesions, and/or adhesions that are adjacent to the spinal cord.

A lot of women I have spoken with on the @endobeehive page have reported that they felt relief from their back pain after surgery to remove endometriomas from their body. A lot of women have also said that the pain shoots right down their leg.

Have you experienced back pain with your endo?

I’ve had chronic lower back pain the last few weeks, and it extends into my hips, coccyx, and thighs. I’m due for a laparoscopy soon.

My current back pain started three weeks ago and has now escalated to pain that radiates down my legs. I do yoga and take ibuprofen but nothing works. Might be time to see a chiropractor.
